Old Picture of Me
I like looking at old photos of my childhood.
It helps me connect with my late Grandfather who died when I was seven years old. Like him, I like to speak Singlish.
My aunts and my cousins, children my dad’s cousin, were still living in the same house or just a few doors away.
Now my sister and I are the only kids left and only she gets to celebrate Children’s Day.
Here is a photo of me at three wearing one of my father’s many camouflage hats.

Hi Sean: I just notice you have a pattern in your art.
Blue is for fond memories.
Yellow is for happy thoughts – maybe of nice food like peppers and cool stuff like avatars in your mind.
Black and white is for a sense of foreboding eg Heath Ledger as the Joker.
Green is – I’m not sure – looks like a state of tension.
🙂
